Policy-safe

Messages go only to an opt-in list, as WhatsApp requires.

What you need

  • A WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) phone number ID and permanent access token from Meta
  • An approved message template (e.g. a text template with one body variable) - WhatsApp only allows templates outside the 24-hour window
  • A list of recipients who have opted in (E.164 numbers, e.g. +15551234567)

WhatsApp has no API to post to Channels or Status, so Auto Piko sends template messages to an opt-in list. Unsolicited messaging breaks WhatsApp policy. Template variables cannot contain line breaks, so posts are flattened to one paragraph (max 1,024 characters).

How to connect

  1. In Meta Business settings, create a System User token with whatsapp_business_messaging.
  2. Create and get a template approved (one {{1}} text variable in the body).
  3. Enter the phone number ID, token, template name/language and recipients below.
  4. Every scheduled post is sent as that template to each recipient (max 50 per account).
